I recently attended a luncheon hosted by First Trust, one of the money managers I use frequently, and they had a keynote speaker, David Rutherford, a national speaker, ex CIA, ex Navy Seal... dude was magnetic and very interesting.
He spoke about some keys to maximizing our spiritual, physical and emotional thresholds.
Several of his points really resonated with me. They were points I knew but hearing them again really sparked my spirit.
Under Mental Performance, one key was to Read a Book a Month, a fact I've known for most of my adult life
Under Emotional, he said to journal daily & know your purpose. (lol, and here's my first journal/blog in years!)
Under Spiritual, Serve others without any expectation of reciprocation or recognition.
And as I approach my 62nd trip around the sun, I know I must re-focus on many things, including these points above.
I want to be sharp mentally, emotionally and physically as I enjoy the freedoms of my life.
